Think they're getting closer on lines. I thought they probably deserved a goal earlier in the game, they were getting goalie'd pretty good. It's a very good sign that they felt they'd come back. You want that in your team.

If they can fix the PP, I actually like this team to do damage. But that's a big if.

Welcome to the Jungle
The Lindholm injury sucks. He's been driving the play with his legs and moving like his first year here. A leg injury might slow him back down again.
If he is injured I hope they put him on IR and he can heal up. Having him at 70%-80% like last year just sucks. Obviously it depends on the injury, but I would much rather let him rest and heal then play injured. Even with Peake out I think we need to just bite the bullet if it is anything more then a bruise.

Jets are frauds until they actually do something. Imagine this place with winning one round in six years. team has won 3 rounds the past 13 years
A month ago many people had Nashville over Winnipeg going into season

They do have the G but it’s been pointed out when I suggested if Swayman wants out to trade him for Helybuck and was told he pees himself in playoffs

It still looks nowhere close to right.

The power play is an albatross.

But to their credit, they’re somewhat keeping their heads above water and at least giving themselves a puncher’s chance of figuring it out.
I agree. However I thought it looked much better last night. The primary difference and what I look for is constant movement. Yes I love to see Pasta fire the 1 timer from the half wall. But far too often they become obsessed with that play. When this happens they become stationary and incredibly easy to defend.

Bruins are 32 in special teams and have a winning record - not supposed to happen in special teams league

They suck at both BUT the guys they have proven records

Maybe this is the year the lifetime .300 hitter hits .250

I expect it to correct self and even middle they are significantly better

Special teams contributed in several losses

But they are rolling out skilled players -likely their slump started at beginning

Remember after 12 games one year Andy Brickley had 21 points and was nesr top of league leaders

one part is soooo frustrating.

Hampus was a stud when he first arrived.
Then he broke his foot and continued to play on it, probably, for too long.
Last season he was not great and I suspect the broken foot healing played a part in his skating.
This season I think he has shown more of that first season attack and speed.
Last night, takes a shot off the foot and leaves the game.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

What's frustrating to me is that Lindholm and Mac rarely play their best hockey at the same time. Mac struggles so Lindholm elevates. Lindholm gets hurt and Mac elevates. When one goes south for whatever reason the other one seems to play better. Bruins need both of their A games at the same time.

Binnington finally cracked in the 3rd . Okay so maybe the Bruins don’t win on Thursday but I think they will bounce back with a win on Saturday. Blues aren’t that good.

The Jets top three forwards, Ehlers/Connor and Scheifele who I think is very underrated are much better than our top 3.
They have the best goalie in the NHL right now.
The only position we are better are on dee.
Vilardi and Perfetti are good hockey players, both are top six forwards.
I would trade our #4 and #5 forwards straight up for them in a heartbeat.
I mentioned many times that we over achieved last year.
Realistically, I see the Bruins as making the playoffs in a wildcard spot with 92 points.
You are very optimistic, thinking we can get 82 points in the next 65 games....I hope I am wrong.
I’m sticking with my opinion

Check with me May 15

Bruins special teams skewing who they are

League average Boston is probably 10-5 instead of 8-7

Winnipeg not surprisingly #1

As I’ve posted before I could name the entire Winnipeg roster and have now or had 8 of their players in HFL league ~ I have studied these guys so much I can probably rip off their birthdays and salary piece of cake I spent so much on cap friendly

Connor stud & Scheifele I like a lot. Ehlers very good but yet to have that monster season

Vilardi & Perfetti been made of glass and injuries have been worst can have - concussions, back for Vilardi and shoulders for Perfetti

I could be wrong but don’t think so

It's actually amazing that the Bruins have accumalated as many points as they have with almost all of their top players underperformng and ST's that are right near the bottom of the league. Looking at it logically things should definetly improve starting with the PK, you can survive having an ineffective PP as long as your PK is solid.
Yup league average they are 10 or 11 wins

The issue if you are struggling in anything is discipline

They can’t afford ticky tack penalties

Still need a lot more from Lindholm in my opinion. I almost never notice the guy .

Except for that pass by Lohrei right to a Blue in the slot.....
Bit of maturing on Lohrei's part but the usual suspects were turning it over as well.
However, I'm enjoying Lohrei's puck carrying ability and his puck movement on the PP.

Since the Carolina debacle ...last 6 games only 12 goals against. So that's nice.

It's very true and also quite odd. And it's not a conflict thing either, it's not like there is only room in terms of ice time and role for one of them to play at the top of their game at a time.

While there is still plenty to improve, there was actual effort and energy. Pasta finally heard the bell, time will tell if it's the start of something. I'll be at the game with my daughter vs Dallas, for the first time in a couple of weeks I am looking forward to it.

I hope we all look back at this game as a turning point for the season. Go Bs!!

great win right there. hopefully that helps with building confidence and the start of some momentum

Also, I like the guy. But Zacha couldn't hit the ocean if he was shooting off the side of a cruise ship
I like the guy also, big fan especially watching that skill set he possess, but I tell you his shot accuracy is really concerning.

ST. LOUIS — No thinking, just shooting.

That was David Pastrnak’s strategy Tuesday night.

Boston’s leading scorer capped a wild, three-goal third-period comeback as the Bruins slapped a 3-2 loss on the Blues at a deflated Enterprise Center.

Pastrnak drilled a one-timer off a Charlie McAvoy relay past Jordan Binnington with just 1:47 remaining to secure the 2 points.

Bruins return Morgan Geekie to a line with Pavel Zacha and David Pastrnak and it pays off

“What a crazy shift that was. There were a couple looks we had, and obviously McAvoy and Mason [Lohrei] were doing their thing and kind of buzzing around and they kind of collapsed on the puck, it bounced to Pav [Pavel Zacha], I think he kicked it to [McAvoy], and it came over to me,” said Pastrnak, before breaking into laughter. “And I just shot it as hard as I could.”

Binnington bent over as if he had squeezed it, but it was by him.

It was the game-high 10th shot of the night and team-high seventh goal of the season for Pastrnak, who led all forwards with 24:29 of ice time.

“They scored a couple of nice power-play goals in the second and we fell behind,” said coach Jim Montgomery. “But we talked about staying with it for 60 minutes and playing the right way. And even though we made a couple of mistakes in the third still — because you’re going to make mistakes, it’s a game of mistakes — we just kept battling. We kept playing the right way. We got to the goal line, and we got some greasy goals.”

The Bruins evened things with a pair of goals set up by their leaders.

First, it was Pastrnak.

The crafty winger stole the puck and blitzed into the St. Louis end. He waited patiently and then sifted a pass over to Morgan Geekie, who beat Binnington under the right pad with a one-timer at 4:53 for his first of the season.

“It’s always nice to get the first one, especially just coming back into the lineup,” said Geekie. “So, it’s good. It helps a lot. It’s good mentally.”

The Bruins came out with renewed spirit in the third and finally cracked the Binnington mystery. Meanwhile, Swayman (20 saves) was keeping the Blues from extending their lead.

“You can really build off these things,” said McAvoy. “You’ve got to do the right things moving forward. But there’s a couple times throughout a year where you win a game like this or something like this happens, you come back and find a way like we did tonight, and you can really build off those.

“So, you’ve got to earn them. And we did tonight, and we’ve got to do the right things moving forward. But this could definitely spark something.”

You are right about that foot injury, and I also believe there was a concussion involved also, when healthy he is a player and when McAvoy was coming back from soildier surgery he really stepped. ..........So bottom line is this , I share your.....GRRRRRRRRRRR
