At what point do you start expecting him to not be complete dog shit? Half a season? Not to mention that it's not like he had a lengthy stretch of playing well as a center. Not throwing the towel on him at all, but he was supposedly ready to play at the end of last season and looked great in preseason, it's been a steep downhill ever since.
I'm somehow convinced you will all eat crow.Dach is genuinely bad. This forum has weirdly conned itself into believing he's a first line center.
At this point, he is living off that 3rd overall selection. He would've been out of the top 6 long ago if he wasn't a high pick.
And shooting itThis team handle a puck like it's a hot potato it's actually hilarious. We are so bad controlling the puck

And usually they are able to ennter the offensive zpne cleanly after a back pass.Oh and that back pass on every PP we use it just plain silly. The other team knows it's coming plus it wastes time

Im hoping tooI disagree. He will get more shots in the NHL because of his draft position, but I doubt he will become more than what we are seeing. I would love to be wrong, though.

Correct.Yeah, no. He was really good after being put on the first line his first year and was looking ready for a break out before his injury. He was seriously injured, lost a year and now struggles. It's not complicated.
To be fair he was good with Suzuki. Everyone's good with Suzuki. He's our Crosby.Yeah, no. He was really good after being put on the first line his first year and was looking ready for a break out before his injury. He was seriously injured, lost a year and now struggles. It's not complicated.
Not asking whether or not we should give him time, of course we should give him time, my question is how many games? Season is nearly a quarter done and he is the worst player on the team. Caufield most definitely did not look like this with his injury. He looked like a second-liner who may not be worth his contract, not the worst player on the team. Not to mention that he was one of the best goalscorers in the league for like 82 consecutive games (unlike the 20-25 games that Dach played as a center).Yes, it can take multiple games. I don't think it's really complicated. He was getting better and better. He gets a serious injury. He struggles. It was the same with Caufields shot last year where people were reinventing the wheel trying to understand why a post shoulder surgery player had trouble shooting.
It looks like they could enter the zone without it from what i seeAnd usually they are able to ennter the offensive zpne cleanly after a back pass.
