Monty played a very good game tonight. Not sure why he's getting blamed. The Habs are on pace for 21 shots.

Not asking whether or not we should give him time, of course we should give him time, my question is how many games? Season is nearly a quarter done and he is the worst player on the team. Caufield most definitely did not look like this with his injury. He looked like a second-liner who may not be worth his contract, not the worst player on the team. Not to mention that he was one of the best goalscorers in the league for like 82 consecutive games (unlike the 20-25 games that Dach played as a center).

How many games ? A lot probably. Caufield was more established and didn't lose his skating, nor was he headshotted like 5 times. He has good moments, but you can see the timing and confidence isn't there. If he doesn't improve down the stretch and next year I'll be worried.
