Either the Habs players like something very much in that town that is not hockey related or the hotel where they stay is trash and they can't sleep. Or, I think it might always be the (near) end of a long trip.

They should just waive him. He hasn't played enough over the last 2 years. He doesn't have a spot in the lineup anymore and makes a fairly small line-up smaller. He also gets us to a 23 man roster, so something will have to happen to get Laine on the roster anyway.

Plus, it saves us $1.1m on the cap. Once he gets activated off LTIR, they should waive him. He won't get picked up.

It's the most logical thing to do, but the way this management has hanged on their "established" players, they will probably send Heineman down and slot RHP in instead. Because this is a contract year for RHP.
