Rosen reporting that Kopitar, Gaborik and AA skating this morning! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ.[/QUOTE

Kopitar received confirmation today that he could proceed without worsening the area of his injury. Pain tolerance still a factor, though.

The key words there 'worsening the area of his injury' still sounds to me it's a tendon or ligament tear and they are treating with anti inflammatories (which Rosen reported earlier) and pain meds.
For a hand, wrist, arm, tough sledding for a center, esp on faceoffs, pressure etc. and getting whacked. The longer you try to play thru it, the harder it gets, esp this early in the year.

Not likely we'll ever find out but hoping it's not that.

Kopitar skated today and showed progress, but you probably shouldn't expect him to play tomorrow:

Not much different but I assumed it was shoulder. If it's a pain threshold thing rather than a worsening thing, I would just hope Kopi takes another day or two and comes back after Edmonton.

Although we will take a hit in points and the standings, I wouldn't mind Kopitar taking another 7-10 days off. I would rather have him completely heal, instead of risking anything further later on the in the season.

Today's game is going to be painful. We need to just claw away the next few games and manage to get some points unless Kopitar/Gaborik come to the rescue.
