Think this Bruins team may need to go .500 til the New Year just so the expectations don't match last season where they were exposed in the playoffs. Love this start and love the D and tandem in net.

Ah well, onto the next one and hopefully Ullmark exercising the demons.
Lost by 1 lousy goal and had chance on Marchand breakaway to salt it but that's hockey.

Marchands brain sometimes just has no common sense. Too many times he wants to go for the pretty highlight goal instead of keeping his head on straight and lobbing the puck 190 ft out of the f***ing zone! Zacha and a few other too. Going for the glory win instead of just the 2 points.

Pretty concerning trend with their ability to close out games with the opposition deploying the extra attacker. Between the ANA game and now this one, they've got to get better at closing them out.

Bruins either need to start an investigation on the leagues conspiracy to always get the short end of the stick when it comes to officiating, or Monty needs to work on this teams discipline

A third option of consistency would be most ideal. The hook to the hands of Marchand and Pastrnak were egregious. Flashback to the Tampa series where Marchand was hooked on the breakaway with nowhere else to look as an official.

If it’s in reference to the Pasta breakaway Hedman looked to have easily earned a hooking call from the replay I saw.

TBH tho all the breakaways I ever see seem to have their own threshold for what constitutes a penalty.

I’ve seen the trailing dman one hand swing his stick, tap the offensive players ass with his stick blade, and its been a slashing call.

Then I’ve seen breakaways like pastas tonight and it seems like it would have had to be a two hand swing to the head to have drawn a call.

It’s always been baffling to me
Marchand’s was also really bad. Covered up by the make up trip call.

Our last PP, I believe.

Hate to be this guy but I didn’t think the Bs played well enough to win this one. So I’m happy with the point. If they got two it was robbery (and they should have).

Players are starting to get the book on Potsy which is why he is getting laid out more. They know he likes the cutbacks and they are catching him.

Lohrei also looked a little jumbled in the defensive zone. Not surprised Monty sat both guys. Tampa was in full force forechecking and he decided to lean on the vets more.
Don't mind Potsy getting hit when it creates a play up the neutral zone. Our other forwards were chipping it to nowhere. Sends the wrong message imo.

I'll tell you one thing, if they get the injuries out of the way from now until April instead of going into the playoffs completely lame like last season, I'm all for it.
