Slovak players from North America are very overrated and honestly they should be relegated I believe. I’ve seen better and especially Kazakh goalies are up there with the best goalies in history of hockey. So this one is close I predict

Calm down a bit, you are starting to sound a bit ridiculous tbh. No need to be cocky.

From what I was told is MHL is several levels above CHL. So therefore we are actually underdogs in this game. I know we have no chance against Canada, Finland, etc. but I was told that Kazakhs have elite goaltending while Slovak goalies are arguably worst in the tournament

Potential to be one of the best single games of the entire tournament. Just like I've said before the tournament, the Kazak have a chance to upset and because of the groupings this is a must watch game. Playing a rested team, who skates better and faster on the end of a back to back, with a 17 year old goalie who also played in the back to back is trouble, throw in the stupid penalties the Slovaks (Pospisil) take and the Blue and gold's solid powerplay and it's the perfect storm for an upset.

You wrote that our (slovak) team is overratet and quality players is similar. Really? Difference between slovak and kazach is three levels. I really hope that you will not talk nonsense about slovak players

You call this being proud? I really hope you are just kidding.
Canadian fans were celebrating when they scored 10th goal and more. So am I. Plus jabbing at the guy who said that Kazakhstan had much better goaltending than Slovakia and Slovak team was overrated, undisciplined and basically garbage. We’re not allowed to cheer/jab? Yikes it’s ‘68 all over again

As bad as this Kazakh team looks, they have a few guys that could be drafted this year.

Orekhov, Yeremeyev, Musorov and the captain Daniyar could all end up taken in later rounds this year. I doubt all of them go, but 1 or 2 wouldn't be unrealistic.

well they certainly are not the worst team in the tourney.

coming to 'the west' and playing in a hockey mad city might be a bit of a shock and such a short tourney doesnt leave much room for error.

at least they can score here and there.

When it is a hockey mad city, then why is crowd so quiet?

Btw, it is obvious that Kazakhs are playing dirty but I am surprised that fans are cheering them...

True.

Daniyar #7 and Orekhov have looked very good this tournament. A lot of poise and hockey sense between the two. Wouldn't be surprised to see them drafted. They both play like pros.
