I badly would like to see an upset here, but Slovakia most likely will be to outclass Kazakhstan over the course of sixty minutes.

Potential to be one of the best single games of the entire tournament. Just like I've said before the tournament, the Kazak have a chance to upset and because of the groupings this is a must watch game. Playing a rested team, who skates better and faster on the end of a back to back, with a 17 year old goalie who also played in the back to back is trouble, throw in the stupid penalties the Slovaks (Pospisil) take and the Blue and gold's solid powerplay and it's the perfect storm for an upset.

I dont know if there is anyone that dislikes the Slovaks as much as you... well except for our Hungarian neighbors to the south . It will be a good game though but the goalie advantage is not what you think

Slovakia should take this one. Kazakhstan has seemed to me to be the weakest team in the tournament thus far, especially their defence is a total disaster. They have quite good goalies, who have saved them from being smashed by a bigger, perhaps double digit score. But their D-men are completely lost in their own zone, the mistakes they make with the puck are seldom to be seen on the level of the U20 hockey, if fact, they would be terrible even on the U18 level. Their only D-man who has proper quality for this level of hockey is Orekhov, the rest is several steps below. Their forwards then are decent skaters, but still not very creative. I don't say the Slovaks have been playing any terrific game thus far, but they should win comfortably.

I expect nervous game from the very beginning. Wouldn't been surprised if Kazaks took the lead. Potential upset depends on Kazak's goaltender who is by far their best player. Eventually Slovaks will beat Kazakhstan by 2 or 3 prediciting shoot ratio: 35-26 in favour of SVK.

I don't dislike Slovakia at all. Some of my favourite WJC teams were Slovakian. I just think this is one of the most interesting stories of the tournament and have been hitting it hard. Especially because I don't think the gap between this years Kazak and Slovakian teams is very big as a lot of posters like you seem to think.

I have been waiting for this one as well. Unlike many here I love having the "minnow" teams at this tournament because they keep the good teams honest and every once in a blue moon they upset a good team and cause havoc to the accepted order. Remember when Kazakhstan beat Canada? Remember when the USA almost got relegated? Keeps it interesting and I predict a very good hockey game tonight.
