Not the case at all. I like Willy, and defend him a lot. Like I said, he has the skill set to be elite. Great playmaker, great shooter, great hands but he disappears with terrible effort levels. I like Will, I just personally think he needs a little fire up his ass, but that's just me.

I'm not really sure he will physically decline in any meaningful way over his contract. He's a gym rat, great shape. Largely been healthy and his game has never relied on speed.

I think it's fatherhood.

He had his first kid last year and his 2nd one this year. With Covid, I doubt they're hiring a nanny so Tavares is probably doing a lot at home. Really sucks.
