If the ice is as bad as it was in Los Angeles, with the puck hopping the whole game and the ice slushy, we should recall the biggest players in our system and just have them push their way forward and kick at the puck.

That L.A. game was painful to watch. L.A. is loaded with talented players, but they looked almost as awful as the Jackets playing on that ice.

Yes, it was big salary versus big salary in the trade-off. To make the kick in the balls even worse. Souray's buyout is only on the books for this season at 1.5 Mil while we still have Commodore's buyout on the books for another 2 years at 1.141 mil.

It was a cap hit of 5.4 for Souray versus Commodore at 3.75. It would have been a risk and that amount of salary taken on would have probably led to other moves after that being or not being made. On the flip side, anyone could have performed better than Commodore after the playoff season.

Time to watch some Jackets! To be honest, I don't have much knowledge of the current roster as the lockout made me lose interest for NHL for a while, but now with a broken foot and a cast on it due to an awkward fall in a checking situation while playing hockey... Well, let's just say that I've had some extra time to get my interest back

I would like to see one prospect Duck in a Jackets jersey, D Sami Vatanen. He's in a pretty tough situation with Anaheim's defence being as good as they are, he got his first 3 NHL games, played good games but was sent down again. Kekalainen should know exactly what kind of a player Vatanen is, he pretty much dominated Finnish league for couple of years before this season as he moved to NA, makes great passes, is really fast on skates and doesn't shy making plays himself. Well, here's to hoping...
