The game altering blunders are a slight issue. Especially in the playoffs.

GMs don't just surf hockeydb. Their scouts are watching the games and they would have seen Matheson's faults last year as well.

His value isn't going to be anywhere near what you'd expect for a 60pt 25+ minute Dman. Closer to a Gustafsson or Barrie.

This year was never going to be great. The roster on paper was worse than last season's starting roster...

I mean it's ridiculous...If we remove that first game against the Leafs with the 48 save shutout, our goalies have a combined 4.13 GAA and an .857 SV PCT.

I understand that the defence sucks and makes a ton of mistakes, but they have to f***ing make some saves sometimes.

Sure, but his value is in the toilet now. I would be very surprised if they didn't have a few calls on him last year. The recent Habs Series showed how unreasonably high HuGo et al are on him.
