Should re-name it 'suck-o' for how this team has played over the past 10 games.

Getting Burns and Havlat were not bad moves.

Not having more players with speed and hockey-sense is the problem

I'm done with hockey until we see some major changes. The officiating is absolutely atrocious in this league. Wrong calls, mis-calls, and phantom penalties seem to be occurring much more frequently than in years past. The officiating is a joke.

I'm also finished because of this current Sharks team. I've followed the Sharks daily since the mid-1990s, but I don't think I'll be watching again until major changes occur (i.e. coaching change, multiple major trades, GM change, etc.).

The major problem with this team is that the hockey they are playing is not good hockey. The product stinks. I feel more frustrated and upset after a game than before, which is never a good sign.

Marleau coasting on the backcheck for the first goal is unacceptable. The passive defensive game is pathetic. Few players are playing with any heart or hustle. I could stick it out if the team was giving consistent effort each game, but I just don't see it. Until some major changes take place, I just don't consider this team (or league) worth my time or money.

lets get fired up for tomorrow's game! the dallas backups have been dreadful, and i know we usually make backups look like absolute warriors but i have a good feeling about our chances tomorrow. i hope niemi plays again tomorrow, but assuming tmac is still coaching until at least sunday morning, im sure he starts greiss vs the division opponent.

What frustrates me is not only are the Sharks slower than their opponents, they don't work as hard.

It just doesn't matter if they can't beat teams like Chicago. Dallas is mediocre, so a win over them won't do much to restore faith.

Your postgame quotes by the man.
"We've got to keep trying different units...the last two games we were a lot more dangerous...We've got to continue to work on it" -McLellan

It's time for a mini rebuild. I'm not saying force your way out of Marleau/Thornton contracts, but obviously this is not a playoff team and the Sharks should get prospects/picks for the few tradeable assets they do have.

Keep: Vlasic, Burns, Demers, Braun, Marleau, Thornton, Couture possibly Irwin.

Everything else, get rid of. Especially: McLellan & Clowe. For those in-love with Pavelski/Murray/Havlat/Boyle, their best days are all behind them and while I like them and Murray/Boyle been my 2 of my 3 fav current Sharks, they don't have to be in the plans. Watching Hossa Blow by pavelski despite pavelski having both position and a speed head start was mindblowing. For those still behind McLellan, I think he's taken his system to such an extreme there is no threat of scoring in the hopes of pretty passes and puck possession. When there is no threat of speed or driving the net, it's pretty easy to keep everything to the outside. The best Sharks scoring chances this game were shots from a 170 degree angle. Further, watching the Sharks attempt to enter the zone 3 times, fail, then finally enter the zone on a 3on2 and delay/turnitover is not something I find entertaining. At all. And obviously, it's not effective at winning games either.

I'm sorry, are we blaming Marleau for an own goal off of Burns??? In what world does this make sense? It was a harmless play.

You get rid of Boyle then our entry into the offensive zone becomes even more impossible.

No need to be sorry, but let me clarify in case it wasn't clear enough what I said.

I'm absolutely insinuating that Marleau completely failed to make any sort of impact or hustle on the first goal against. Check the play again and tell me he did everything he could to pressure the puck carrier at center ice.
