Looking at the head-to-head stats for the two teams, why does the Canucks have the most goals so far with a "scoring-chance for%" lower than the Habs???? It's just that super lethal PP at work?

So Habby boys, don't take stupid penalties tonight and you win this.

If he can stay healthy, yes.

He has looked like the Habs best all around player all season.
I agree, no disrespect to CC or Suzuki but Moneyhands does so many things well, makes the game easy for his wingers and he could help anyone on the roster put up points. I would like to see him with Slafkovsky and Ylonen as his wingers. Why not? What are doing if not trying to develop players during a rebuild?

Habs need to score more : they are scoring at a 3 goal per game pace but 4 of the goals have been scored in OT. That s just not enough. Slaf Anderson but also Newhook all need to score more and Caufield needs to score before OT :D

Primeau and Ylonen developement seem not to be a priority indeed.

Facing SJS increases the number of goals drastically. ;)

MSL is clearly coaching to win. I think it's important for Hughes to trade Pearson so he doesn't continue to dominate the time with Monahan, at the expense of the young guys getting that time.

Not concerned about Caufield. He has his chances, it’ll start going in soon enough.

He won’t shoot 8% all year lol

Down years exist.

But a lot of it seems self imposed this year. Caufield is taking a lots of shots while in/through heavy traffic which gets blocked, deflect, misses, etc. Part of that is that opposite teams focus on him more, but sometimes it looks like he's purposely skating with the puck into said traffic.

I gotta say lol..

It is beyond perturbing someone who has 14 points in 14 games is getting this much 'heat' from our 'fanbase' lol

I can't understand it, I wont understand it, and I'm a little embarrassed

(Not singling you out or anything either, it's for others)

The coaching staff should have an isolated cam on Moneyhands and use the footage as a teaching tool. His situational awareness and decision-making are stellar. Maybe some of it can be taught but some of it is also innate. He’s fun to watch.

It's so nice that we can expect more from Caufield. He's a ppg and we're all like ''hey buddy, what's wrong? why aren't you a goal per game?''

Yeah lol
Like I 'get it' and everything but it's like...
It truly makes me think of the people who joke "we could win the cup and people would still complain about something" and I'm starting to get scared it's true lol

I wonder what would happen if we moved Suzuki to wing and played him with Caufield and Money at center. Suzuki is a good center but maybe as a powerplay line that could be crazy!

What would happen is people would cry that Slafkovsky doesn't have good enough line mates.

The Rocket were rotating 9D before the Lindstrom call up. Clearly, having a 7th D available to the Habs is much more valuable than rostering Armia.

As the line change have shown, Suzuki look best when he's driving the play on his line and doesn't focus on passing to Caufield. So I'm not quite sure Suzuki at wing would have the desired effect.

That's a lot of d men...
Habs should have had a spare long before the Harris injury. It also made sense in Laval since they have had too many D vying for playing time. We all knew Armia would become stealthy again.

Trying to generate his own chances, trying new things as he’s rounding up his game. And we have to realize, he stopped playing in january last season, he kinda has to get 100% back into it. He’s doing good.
