Yes, but he was clearly not offside. As long as you have possession you can enter the zone before the puck.Does the IIHF even have a challenge for that?

They do, as many as you like.Does the IIHF even have a challenge for that?

You can preceed the puck so long as you have posession.
Which he did.
Which means a challenge denied is a 2 min minor
But no finish. The lack of production is a bit underwhelming for what the Pod hype has been pre-tournament.
Its 3 games in and he's been one of Russia's best forwards each game...But no finish. The lack of production is a bit underwhelming for what the Pod hype has been pre-tournament.
That's the way I would look at it, a needed test in order to get up to their top level as a team going forward. Some good adversity for the Russians. Their offense hasn't been great this is a great test.
Looks like a russian spy there. Found another one : KURASHEV PhilippGuy named Valentin is Swiss?

Not sure that there is a good replacement for him. Kinda time to look some foreign coach.I want to wash Bragin's brand of hockey forever out of my eyes. It stinks. It is a kind of heavy duty mediocrity. Lots of sound and fury signifying nothing.
No more please.

pretty sure all their players are swiss and have been at the junior level for a long time now.Back in the day , all lot of Swiss players were Canadian turned Swiss . I wonder if that's still the case or against newer rules
This doesn't make sense for the youth team. Swiss hockey has developed significantly in last 15 yearsBack in the day , all lot of Swiss players were Canadian turned Swiss . I wonder if that's still the case or against newer rules

Sorry , I was thinking of the Top level .pretty sure all their players are swiss and have been at the junior level for a long time now.
Think he's one of the few who is meeting or exceeding expectations. Whole first line I've found underwhelming outside a couple individual flashes. Agree on Kovalenko though, not having him this game is clearly a big loss. If you're underwhelmed by Podkolzin and his line you must have had some sky high expectations for such a young line. I think they've came out on the right side of the play most shifts and have generated offensively without sacrificing defenceDisagree wholeheartedly.
Kravtsov and Kostin have been head and shoulders above everyone else. Kovalenko and some of the bottom 6ers like Galimov have been good too. Pod and Marchenko have been very underwhelming in the previous games.
