Hockey in Switzerland is already a big deal. It's by far the #2 sport in the nation (football/soccer is and always will be the undisputed #1).
Depends on how you measure it. By active players? Sure, football/soccer will win. If you look at attendance it's a different story, more people go to watch hockey games - not in average, but combined over a full season. That's quite remarkable if you consider sizes of arenas (sure there are also more hockey games in a season compared to football/soccer).
Anyways, back to the game: great effort, unfortunate ending. The two penalties were entertaining, however I wish we could have had a power play.
