What I feel good about is that the Jackets once or twice in the first period settled into a dangerous forecheck. The kind where you get 3-4 good shots on goal, and calmly retrieve pucks and position yourself and set up a chance. I feel like I saw that a few times in that period.

I'm not going to say the team is out of the funk they were in entirely... but it looks a bit like the wheels are being put back on. I even saw play out of the 4th line that was encouraging.

I am so happy to have Harts on this team, too. Maybe my fave at this point.

That goal is definitely on Wild Bill. He let Perry get past him and then blocked Tyutin from getting back in the play. If Bill takes Perry then Tyutin could have easily taken the trailer.

Other than that, a meh period. It's what you expect on the second night of a back to back, against possibly the fastest team in the league..

Kesler is 5 for 5 in the circle against Dubi and Joey. Those 2 combined for 1 win out of 10 attempts. You don't win many games when your top line centers are taking only 10% of the face-offs. We're chasing the puck all the time.
