As great as Allen is playing, I'm still going to reserve judgment on whether I think we should start counting on him as backup and trade Elliott.

Nonetheless, Vancouver should be a good test.

I get that nobody around here is big on Elliott right now, but IMO trading him would be a mistake given how injury prone Halak has been recently.

Yeah, if Halak gets hurt we need Elliott there to carry the team. Oh wait...

Allen! Still looking good on those 2 quick saves! i'm very pleased with his play. After watching Elliott recently that wouldn't be hard. But Allen is very encouraging, nonetheless!

From what I have seen of Allen in Peoria when he gets hot, it's a minor miracle to get one past him. This team sure could use a streak of hot play from one goalie to get everyone's confidence back up and get some of the kinks worked out.
