i never watch the pregame show anyways but didn't brodie kinda suck for the first couple years.
There was definitely a warm up period with Brodie, though I feel like he had a deeper impact than most that we've had so Hoshida has a slightly bigger hill to climb.

Damn it. Got caught up at work and watching election results.

4-2 sharks. Know it won’t count as a snog but I’m going with that.

Liljegren is going to end up back in the box again at some point tonight, still needs time to catch up.

The more I watch this team the more I realize we have a really numerically weird roster.

3 guys in the 70s
a guy in the 60s
2 guys in the 50s

a forward wearing a mostly d-man number, 2
d-men wearing numbers usually for forwards in the 80s and 90s

neither goalie having 1 or a number in the low to mid 30s

And most of that is not the result of "rookies get weird numbers until they earn a 'real' one"

At least we don't have Darryl Sutter around anymore to tell us how he hates players picking numbers in the 90's because it inflates their egos.

I'm all for it. I love numerical chaos. This roster has more players numbered above 30 (13) than it has ones below that threshold (11) based on who's on the sjsharks.com roster page (which includes Couture)

EDIT: It makes me curious about where the Sharks would sit if you added up the jersey numbers on every player on every roster in the league. I feel like they'd be likely to be up near the top given that big glut of 50s-70s ones to offset the fact that lots of teams may have 3-4 forwards in the 90s but likely also have a lot of single-digit or low-number d-men.
