Something different: Da Costa played his best game yet. He created a lot of offense and was the best center.

My concerns :

1. The injury is career threatening.
2. If it is not career threatening, that he will never be the same when he comes back.

(I do have some extensive knowledge in this area)

If the laceration is more proximal to the muscle belly, the chance for optimum healing to occur is greater than distal. This is because the connective tissue that tendons are made of are not very vascular (although more so than cartilage and ligaments) which limits the healing process , and the closer you are to vasculature, i.e. the muscle fiber itself, the more nutrient, hormone, and other chemical exchange can take place.

Let's hope this is the case.

I understood a few of those words.

I too am not a doctor but with Google's help I can pretend to be one on Hockey Message Boards

Never said I was a doctor- and I totally understand why you would think that Google helped as it in many cases does.

I am on my way- halfway (Trimester 5, 10 total) through grad be exact getting my DOC. I am in midterms right now :help:- I have Neurodiagnosis and EENT (eyes, ears, nose, throat) midterms tomorrow (currently studying at this late hour).

Had Infectious Diseases, Methods, and Clinical Pathology I lecture and lab midterms yesterday, Friday I have Skeletal Radiology IV's lec/lab midterm, Tuesday Physiologic Therapy lec/lab and Clinical Nutrition I. Take Part I Boards in March. Finals April, three week break then right back at it. 30 credits semesters start to wear on you, I cannot wait to say in two years I will never, ever, ever, have to take another test again unless it's voluntary.

I'd actually like to have a sports oriented clinic later on in life...sigh...one test at a time. :banghead:

Ottawa and the other 29 teams really need to get on the NHL about poor officiating. I think what sucks the most is that EK was hurt on a nothing play, when there should have been a whistle. I mean it is basic reffing 101 type stuff.

Something different: Da Costa played his best game yet. He created a lot of offense and was the best center.

He's looked like our best forward the last 2 games in my opinion. He's very smart with the puck, he's moving around and skating hard. His shot isn't anything super special, but his passing ability is insane. He always seems to find the open man and he's got very nice hands.

I say put him on a line with Michalek and Silfverberg (if Michalek comes back, otherwise use Greening instead). They had great chemistry in the AHL and Da Costa has been making the most of his line-mates.

I disagree here.

With Healthy Spezza Cowen and Karlsson, we had a good chance of being in the 7-8 spot.

With the trio healthy and if Michalek/Alfie/Silf/Lats had good years, we'd be a lock for the playoffs.

All we can do now is hope Spezza's rehab is going really well.

Differences of opinion are the norm, however the Sens had all of the above (minus Silf & Lats) going for them last year and finished 8th.

It is hard to imagine the team finishing higher missing Cowen and Spezza, without some surprising large contribution from some other unexpected sources.

I don't even want to think about the impact missing EK will have, the whole thing makes me sick.

Man I love the Sens, but this is gonna be a **** storm the rest of the year. Even the 2 goals they have this game are trash. They cant hit the net and it is an AHL team in NHL jerseys

I've seen comment like this several times now about them being a AHL team... Weird because the only players that could be considered "AHLers" are Zibanejad, Silfverberg, Wiercioch, Da Costa and Benoit.

I would argue that the only real "AHLer" is Andre Benoit. Others are some of our best prospects. Well, I would add Daugavins as an AHLer but guys like Smith, O'Brien, Condra, Lundin certainly aren't AHLers.

It's just that it's hard for a team to dominate when you substract their best players. doh. I really don't think it's fair to pile on remaining Sens players. None of all the **** that has happened so far is their fault

I've said this before but Sidney Crosby is an inspiration to me. He makes me want to exercise more and eat healthy so that I can one day celebrate his death.

lol pathetic

Even for jokes, you don't say things like this. Death is a serious thing

I can't wait until Gonchar is off this team. He's terrible and I cringe whenever he's on the ice.

Care what you wish for.

Honestly after the frustrating lock out, the team completely pissing me off, spezza going down, Cowen with season ending surgery, now Karlsson I'm loosing my ****ing patience with this ****. I gotta step back and just be casual. That's what I'm doing I shouldn't be this worked up.

I'm curious to know why?

It was never going to work with Alfredsson and Karlsson

This could be the wakeup call Melnyk needs to blow up the team, there's no point being mediocre year after year

I'd rather think that posts like this are just some trolling from non-Sens fans than pure idiocy
