I'm sorry but calling him up and sitting him in the box is dumb. It is the worst thing they can do to him. It does nothing for the team or his development. If you call him up, he should play.

The kid is the first guy called up from the farm, I can infer that most of your concerns have been addressed by the guy who calls him up. I'd hope so.

So practicing with NHL players and getting quality time on the road with your future teammates is pointless? If he stays up for more than a morning skate, he'll have an actual chsnce to prove himself to Torts.
