You can't get third man in when it's not even a fight. We got a PP out of it, this is how we can win, getting under the other teams skin and scrums after every play. Not sure why you think we can out-talent teams and win, this is how we have to play.

I don't always agree with your old time hockey perspective, but you're spot on here! :handclap:

Kings hold opponent to zero shots on goal in a period for first time since 1978. We're a once every 37 years type of team.

Oh my:help:

Embarrassing to not have a shot. But when you're protecting a lead on the road, it's also a win when you hold the other team to few opportunities. If you're winning it's better to lose the shot count 5-0 than go 20-20.

I liked the period, we were in their zone, hitting everything in sight, kinda fluky that we didn't get a shot, I'm not worried about it. LA is the hottest team in the NHL right now and we are up in their barn after 2, I'm ecstatic about that.

Outside of a few minutes, Jackets have been completely dominated the last 4 periods of hockey. Jackets have outscored their opponents 6-2 during that time.

That cannot be sustained and the Jackets will get burned if they don't step up their attack.

8 shots first period, zero shots second period...
Total 8 shots after first two periods, as game vs Devils, then we won 3-1. Simply said.

The #77 on the Kings and Hartnell were teammates for many years, looks like they don't really like each other.

If Hartsy channeled the rage this fanbase has for Carter, I really think it would look like an anime battle where #77 gets blown up with the ferocity of a nuclear blast.

Prout was 3rd man in and should have been called for a penalty. Cotton had no need to throw the first sucker punch.

as they show the replay of nolans stick going right up into his nuts multiple times. That's what they gave Nolan the penalty for.

Idk if they showed it again on the CBJ feed but Nolan was being dirty as **** and giving him multiple cup checks. Wasn't a sucker punch at all.

These all work for me. We do need to play this way. Heavy.

Amazing, 0 shots in the period but still have the lead.

Its not "amazing". Its simple. Goals against are just as important and valuable as goals forward.

Prout could have easily been called for roughing for jumping into a scrap he had nothing to do with

It wasn't a scrap. I don't know what your personal opinion is on guys "like" Prout and Boll but that's exactly what he should be expected to do. This is a perfect example of a game and there's been multiple situations that prove a Boll or Prout does have value to an NHL team. Nolan would have whopped on Cotton in an actual scrap.

"Nothing to do with", is why people like you don't understand the role of fighting in hockey or the role of a Boll or Prout on a hockey team.

Here's to Prout beating up somebody in the 3rd. 1st pick is Lucic, then Nolan close after.

How many times more shots the Jackets had in the 3rd period than in the 2nd?
