Win tomorrow night means sweep California. This was some day?

I remember the Jackets swept California trip when they had 2 current Rangers and a Flyer on their 1st line. And the Flyers goalie was in net.

If pilots have to retire at 55, then rock and rollers should be forced to give it up at 50.

Nostalgia concerts for the overly moneyed.

I don't think I've ever agreed with you on anything, ever...

Two of the best concerts I've ever seen, and I've seen hundreds, have been the last 6 months, McCartney and The Stones, both played well over 3 hours without an intermission, McCartney played 42 songs. The young hipster Dbag bands of today could learn something from them, so could you

I deleted my remark.

However, I heard Jagger & Company back in my college days (early 80s) and if I ever heard a band that needed a studio to sound good it was them.

I used to like the Stones and the Beatles, but I grew out of it.

Maybe it took a fight, but C's season started tonight.
Karlson continues to impress.
Dubi on a roll.
Prout makes me shudder, but he was better.

Bob was Bob - the good Bob.

2 more points available tomorrow.

Seemed like Torts had the team prepared for a physical game, and got the right lineup out there for it. Like everyone else I was perplexed by the lines at first, but Prout and Connauton made a few decent plays and the terrible plays they made didn't end up hurting. It also seemed like they came out with some incredible fire in the third period. It's still just a handful of games, but so far, the team seems to be responding to Torts in a way they didn't to Richards. They're showing a lot more adaptability, not folding under pressure, and just generally seem to have passion that was lacking in the first couple weeks of the season.

They dug themselves a pretty big hole, but this is not as bad a team as they played in that 0-8-0 start.

0 shots in the 2nd and 17 in the 3rd. The biggest shots differential ever?

17 times better! :sarcasm::laugh:

I think I may have to continue to not watch until they lose again (or at least until they come back to EST)

Can we change the team name to the Nomads?

Maybe schedule the first 41 away games early next year. May fix our slow start problem.

IDK why we don't see that more often from him, I really don't.

When his head and feet are both moving he can be a very impactful player. And I don't mean headfakes.

SHOUTOUT TO ALL THE TRUUUUS

I'll see ya tomorrow night when all the "Jojo's" join us.

As a 1/2 TRUUU, did Jojo ever show up? How did he look?

scouting reports portray Stenlund as similar to Karlsson but with the size of Johansen..

:naughty:

Yep, sure is looking like Jarmo got an absolute steal in this trade. maybe we should take this to the fire Jarmo thread:laugh:.

Murray has been excellent the past couple games, and I'll still contend that Dubi is the true leader on this team, him, and Boone. Amazing how our defense doesn't look so bad now that we have a good coach. How can u not love Torts ? After the San Jose game, we came to practice the next day, and he said he had to stop practice because some of the team seemed unfocused, happy with the win, the night before. So he corrects the problem. I love that he takes no crap from the refs, but just smiles during the game like he is absolutely giddy to be coaching again. I think he is the perfect coach to instill the dicipline needed, but also teaches and develops players. Look at wild bill, getting better every game. Johansen, was busting his but last night and looks to be playing with an urgency . And lastly, people need to lay off Campbell. He plays balls to the wall, and I think he started the season in a funk, but will be a good player for us. Hope to see Rychel in tonight .

-Karlsson really impressing me, I didn't think he had this kind of game in him.

-Foligno struggling to finish, but throwing everything he has on the ice every shift to try to lead and make a difference.

-Dubinsky as well, giving 100% every shift, man he's gotta be sore today.

-Murray and Johnson looked solid, everyone else on the blue line needs to focus on getting the puck cleanly out of our zone to begin transition.

-Bob saved our ***** on all those turnovers.

-Hartnell being Hartnell.

Karlsson making the Campbell signing look like a waste, though Campbell finally contributed beyond dancing/hugging/fighting so there's that.
