USA did Canada a solid yesterday, looks like Canada might do them a solid here as Canada winning clinches a playoff spot for the US. Not sure they want Canada to win though, they want the 1 seed.

I actually think the 1 seed is less desirable, as it sets up a likely semifinal matchup vs Russia, where as the 2 seed would be more likely to face Sweden in the semis.

Looking past Finland is a bad idea.

I never really care who I face in the semi's honestly. Will always take a lighter QF matchup.

Sometimes in sports certain teams style etc match up well vs other teams.But as fan what you said about 5 teams is what we should all want.Parity makes more games exciting.

Certainly more parity than ever... This is the first time I've been nervous about a Canada/Germany matchup (not that there haven't been upsets). Probably the first time a German team's had three players that would likely make Team Canada.

He has been very solid, really like how he drove to the net to fire the puck instead of shooting from far out on his goal. Hofer has also been quite good.

Byram has been better as well. I’ve really liked Lavoie’s game, his best of the tournament in my opinion.

I thought Hayton has looked a lot better as well.

Hofer has made big saves when needed too.
