Okay. Considering we gave up a goal in 18 seconds. And had 0 shots after 7 mins. Not the worse period ever.

I think Perunovich shoving the Utah player out of the crease, is the first time i've seen him actually play hockey. He may never have the ability to compete in the NHL. But for a supposed PP QB, he is terrified of having the puck on his stick.

Dunno how much to read into it. I've heard lots of rumblings about the (lack of) leadership in EDM. Curious if Mrs. Halloway's comment about leadership gives .1% more credence to that rumor.

He seems to be playing harder and even hitting, and initiating contact, now that he knows his job, and NHL career is on the line.

Other than giving up the goal seconds after the starting faceoff, and the first few minutes, The Blues played well in that period.

They interviewed Halloway's mom during the period. Asked about the hospital visit. And then followed up with asking how it feels with the offer sheet and now being in STL. I forget the first thing she said, but she continued with "He likes his teammates. He likes the leadership."

More than likely it's just the normal hockey PR stuff that comes with the sport. But, reading through the EDM boards about Broberg. There were comments about McDavid's leadership being more concerned about the top guys, instead of making younger players feel welcome.

It's all gossip and rumors and speculation. But...

Glad to see Toropchenko went back to the bench after that knee on knee collision. That should be a 5 min. major. He didn't even try to have his leg avoid the kneeing.

And he got it! Blues on the PP for 5 minutes!!!
