Pasta put himself in a vulnerable position, absolutely, but his numbers are also facing Tanev the entire time! It's a reckless hit and easily two minutes!

At that point Tanev is already committed to the hit. It’s almost impossible to stop on a dime like that in that position. Pastrnak looked over to his side he knew he was coming in for what would’ve been a shoulder to shoulder hit.
