Couldn't see all of the game against Buffalo tonight, but what I did see seemed to reflect a much better effort by the team overall. For the Senators to be successful they have to play with desperation and aggressiveness every game. The team at times lacks toughness, especially in their own end on the boards, and in front of their own net. Congrats on an important win tonight---not a slaughter but still a win is a win.

Hmmm, looked like a team that had a few days off and then a hard practice. They were not skating to well at first and finally started to pick it up, as well as started to understand their coverage. EK basically carried this team, but there was a little bit of good from everyone. Hopefully they play with a little more urgency to start and finish the next game.

I can't speak for others, but every Sens game seems to fall on a night that I'm working or have a lecture (which would be every night sans Friday night).

I'm busy writing my butt off so I can get this paper done for school. Only had time to check the game every once in a while.

I just caught bits and pieces of the game, but it seemed like we were on the powerplay for the entire game. Andy played well, I gather?

Why even make a new thread for the next game? Keep the Nicholas Cage/MSPaint vibe flowing here.

Buffalo took some clutch penalties at the end when they were down 2-0 like the old '7 skaters on the ice' trick. Jokes on them, our power play sucks

Anderson was karlssonesque though

Stuck at work - but friends of mine keep texting me about that Karlsson dive for some reason. How blatant was it?

He was hit in the back of the head with a stick. He has every right to sell that.

Just read that the attendance was 18,429. Always baffled me why we don't consider Buffalo a bigger "rival", considering our playoff history and the epic brawl of doom

Ottawa now with 23 goals against allowed, the fewest in the NHL despite playing more games than most teams.

We are such a lucky team.

15th overall pick became Erik Karlsson.
Brian Elliott became Craig Anderson.
