Game 13. Kings win by TD over Leafs. 7-0. Does this mean we're a finesse team?

I still watch both Cup clinching games on the reg FYI. I love good Kings hockey. I do. Put me under the jail if that is so wrong. :D

It's amazing how good and fast this team looks when they don't spend all night facing the boards.

I know crisp passing is important for any team, but when they're able to connect on those, and compared to when they don't, it looks like two completely different teams.

Calgary, Toronto, not the best teams on the planet, but, those are points the Kings need to get. Funny though, they've won two games by a combined 12-0 score, and are now only a +3 in goal differential for the year.

If Budaj can hold steady, Brown/Dowd keep producing, and the depth on defense keeps it going, it gives the team some life. Of course, as soon as the PP starts scoring, all of those other things will probably stop.

Really like Dowd

Every time I watched him Ontario, he looked like a man among boys. Granted, dude IS a grown ass man, but he did look good. He and Forbort and Gravel spent a lot of time marinating in the AHL and now they look like contributors on the NHL level. It really starts from the back where you now have 2 defenders with ability to retrieve pucks and have reach, mobility and can make a breakout pass. It's amazing how much more fluid the Kings look when you don't have defensemen fumbling with the puck or flubbing passes.

Oh and having Gary Thorne call the gam was awesome.

Very surprising to me on both ends of the spectrum as far as GF and GA the last two games. Just like being shutout three in a row is an anomaly, so is winning by a combined score of 12-0 over the last two games.

The continued strong play of the bottom six has me believing much more than I was a week ago, but I'm still not sold. If they can continue to get wins--or at least points--the majority of the time against middling-to-bad teams until healthy again, they can make the playoffs.

My belief was the new guys would have to be good and quickly while the key parts had to stay healthy. Don't have the latter but the former is happening at a higher level than I anticipated, which is a great thing: especially with the guys on the blueline.

hearing gary thorne was neat because growing up watching this team in the 90's meant if you heard his voice it was a playoff/important national game.

A foxy compliment towards miller that i whole-heartedly agree with is the appropriate amount of enthusiasm that BOB has during his calls. Thorne tends to be like most other commentators that OVER-dramatize a situation. A lot of these C+ scoring chances he'll act like its an A- scoring chance.

Just reminds me how special Bob really is. And Thorne calling "MARINCIN" - "MARONEN" drove me a little nuts. He also misidentified players for LONG periods of time, bob does that to in his late age but he gets a pass :)
