Yeah I mean we probably would've lost this one anyway but the refs favoring Jets so heavily was the final nail in the coffin.

Stars defenders just bring nothing offensively. Only guy who ever tries anything is Harley. Everyone else just flips a weak shot at the net or behind the net. Not shooting for rebounds, not jumping up into lanes, not opening up for one timers, nothing. Just standing there at the point not thinking at all. No bodies even in front when they shoot. I'm not sure there's a worse team in the league when it comes to offense from their defense outside of probably the Sharks

Which is an absolutely fine player to have. Miro is an excellent defenseman, but he never will be the guy fans have hoped he would be. He doesn’t have the offensive skill set or drive to put up big numbers.

Young Miro used to have those qualities at even strength but they're pretty much gone now/been coached out
And no, putting him on his strong side at even strength is not a mistake, you just need to get him a functional partner at any point in his career

Man, outside of Duchene, Stankoven, Seguin, and Marchment, every single other player is underperforming offensively on this team right now.
Meanwhile every player on the Jets is overperforming to start this season. I guess this is the result
