Utah was ranked top 25 for the entire year the year before they entered the Pac-12 right? I went to the Oregon-ASU game this past year, oh man the first quarter was fun. Had a bunch of Oregon fans around me, but just the crowd experience, being in the end zone, everyone yelling at the top of their lungs, just awesome. I love those kind of crowds.

Not sure about that. I just moved here from Arizona recently so I didn't really follow Utah until the past year. Oregon is unreal. It's too bad NAU football isn't bigger.

Powerplay.

Lol on the Avs broadcast they even have a poll asking how many consecutive Overtimes Phoenix played in the playoffs last year. Answer is 4 ofcourse. Or is it 5? Can't remember.

Ha I don't care about their football team anymore, I'm an alumni now. It's just that they are D-II, hard to get excited for sports when your team doesn't see the national spotlight at all.

Just noticed the Air Canada ad on the boards. I guess it makes sense when the Avs Division rivals are Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver (and Minnesota..).

What was the lineup for our PP's in the beginning of the season before Sullivan got injured?

I don't recall, it may have even been the doan, sullivan, vermette line. However it doesn't make sense to keep them as the #1 pp unit, since they're currently struggling. Especially when you consider how well the vrbata hanzal line has been on the pp as of late.

Special thanks to Mike Smith for bailing us out in the first period.

I feel like Vrbatta was on the PP unit with Sullivan, and OEL. I'm going to have to go back to an old game on Gamecenter. But I just don't know why Tip wouldn't want to try to go back to that, as it worked for us.

The Avs offense is what the 3 lines without Hanzal should be doing every shift. Throw it at the front, crash it. Hope for the best.

Anyone notice that Doan is often forechecking? I really would like to see the coaching staff cut down on that and put him in the neutral zone so they can avoid unnecessary miles on his tired old legs. Let Boedker and Korpi chase around the D.

Took a peek at the Blue Jackets/Coyotes game when Sulli got his hattie.

PP unit:

23, 89, 26, 50, 17

Granted it was a 5 on 3, but that was the group that scored the 3rd goal of the game. I could have sworn I remember Vrbatta on the ice with Sulli. Sulli on the wing looking to make the pass, and Vrbatta is towards the point looking to take a shot as usual. It worked earlier this year, I don't know why Tipp doesn't go back to what worked.

His forecheck led to a goal though!

WTF was Smith doing on that? It looked like he had it but whiffed on it.

Biz with the best defensive play of the year. Gets a fight when the Avs have the puck deep in the Coyotes zone.

Errr.. wow, that was the weirdest start to a period. For a moment, the Av's looked like they didn't care at all, followed by Tyson Nash having a stroke trying to pronounce Varlamov, then Smith seemingly throwing his stick away for no apparent reason, and of course, topped off by a weak goal.
