World Juniors is my favourite tournament and I love international hockey, but IIHF refs make it so tough on Canada to win every year with these calls.

Europeans can punch someone in the face, but if a Canadian hits somebody it's a 5 minute major. That's how it's always been. Remarkable how Canada can win like that.

IIHF is a joke, still can't believe somebody is allowed to continue playing in a game after punching somebody in the face. What does it take? It'll only take a Canadian taking 5 strides before hitting someone to kick him out of the game, but an European will have to shoot a Canadian to get kicked out of the game.

We get it, give it a bit of a rest.

I don't get why Canada doesn't just beat us with skill.. the Comtois and Bouchard embeleshments were just unnecesary from the superior team. Comtois made Necas look like GSP! Coincidentally, didn't see Necas acting like that when he had a glove in his face.

I was thinking the Kaut penalty would be a GREAT time to put Necas and Zadina together.. nope.

Bouchard is kind of a black hole of offence.

He has a chance to make a simple drop pass to Glass (maybe the best play maker on the team) and drive the net to create some space.

Weak wrist shot, rush dead.

I'm confused about why they won't give it a go, they can't beat Canada with depth throughout the lineup, but they have the better top-end skill, so take advantage of that

My god......is this team being taught and encouraged to embellish?

MacIsaac is perfectly fine.....the slow mo replay even showed him looking up at the ref when he went down.

I can speak from experience that if you’re legit hurt, looking at the ref is the last thing on your mind

They are beating the Czechs with skill. 3-1.

His shot from the point can be good when he doesn't over handle the puck and lose his angle but I really don't see much feel for offense from him so far this tourney.

But they are beating you with skill, 2 of the 3 goals were beauties.

Some of you people who are talking about Comtois sound like you've never been on skates before. Like you don't realize how quickly you can lose your balance. Taking a punch on your feet and skates are not the same thing, especially if it's unexpected. I don't think he dove because it happened too fast and he was back on at the time. I could be wrong and I am not too bothered either way. He got a penalty so there's no reason for anyone to complain.

He shoots too much and regardless of the play around him

He is reminding me of Evander Kane

I don’t see the hype about Bouchards’ shot. The only thing he’s shown me is terrible shot selection
