Vegas is off to a seriously fast start. They're 10-2-0, and are running away with the Pacific Division, which granted is a shit Division.

Eichel is playing really well, but he's tied with Suzuki in points and Suzi has played one less game.

Suzuki & Caufield! :pcheer:

I don't like our bottom 6. They've kind of been sucking. This will be a tough one.

Monty or Allen in net?

Allen is back down to his regular .908 save percentage, and is 3-4-0 in 7 games, while Montembeault has been playing extremely well. He's at .928 with a 2-1-1.

I would go with Montembeault, but we'll see what MSL decides.

There's certain teams the the Habs play where they just seem to lose no matter what . The wild are one of those teams for Montreal.

But for whatever reason, Vegas have had alot of problems with the habs since they were born. I wouldn't be surprised if vegas' worst all time winning percentage is against the Habs..... And they also lost that playoff to Montreal too.

Edit: so I decided to check the all time record:

5-2-1 habs in regular season.
4-2 habs on the playoffs.

I thought the Habs were a bit more dominant than that, but I should have accounted for how bad Montreal was against everyone last year

About the goalies, Montembeault has faced lower offensive outputs and the shots are on average 4 feet farther away than when it's Allen. This either means MSL is careful when he picks the goalie to face a team (i.e. Monty is sheltered) or the team defense makes more efforts when Monty is in net.

Also, I was surprised to see team stats to go with Vegas 10-2 start, PP/PK% are around the Habs and while their forwards depth is scoring a bit more than the Habs, they seems mostly carried by Eichel/Theodore. Their goaltending is crazy thought. People keep saying Allen and Monty are overperforming but they aren't overperforming the way Vegas goalies are right now.

My favourite player to watch right now is Harris. He actually looks like a top 4 dman that can carry his pairing. I feel like we haven't had a dman like this since PK was traded and Markov leaving back to Russia. Fun to watch him develop at the nhl level. I know Weber was incredible, but puck moving d is the new nhl, so I left him out.

Should be a loss. However, the Habs are strong opposition to any team so that's the positive. We are churning out some points we shouldn't but that's likely to fade out as the season gets tougher by december.
Exactly!

Habs are playing for 0.500 with Suzuki and Caufield having 90 pts pace (closerto 100 for Suz). I think they will cool off a bit as the season progresses and once their scoring dries up, it's gonna become real bad.

We are going to finish bottom 3, not worried one bit.

I watched the Vegas-Ottawa game on Thursday, the Knights are a very big talented team, and the misfit line is especially dangerous. It will be a tough matchup unless the Knights spent last evening in some of Montreal's finer establishments.

Who the hell are the misfits?
