Btw, did you folks see the high stick on Seider? If it was European soccer he would have fallen like a nuke hit him and would roll in the grass for ages.
Seider goes, no worries it's ok. Fock that's the attitude that's the menchen.

How about you try to read and comprehend?

1. Has team been outplayed and outshot many times?
2. How many times the team has been badly outshot
3. Last night we played a very bad team and were once again outshot and in period 1 they had doubled our shots.
4. Have many posters complained about the team getting outshot and outplayed?

I am the only one who does care about it all, I like and appreciate our effective wins. All of you complain about being outshot and outplayed, but I have yet to see a single idea how to fix it.

Would you prefer the team decided to sit back and keep the 1-0 lead?

Please answer all questions. If you can't answer all, just note which ones you skip.

It's not black and white, dude. You can't just excuse egregious f***ups because "oh hey, you want them just to turtle up?" Jeff F' Petry, 100% needs to just turtle up. Chip it out of the zone and gtfo the ice. You aren't in your prime. You aren't going to be a hero with a keep in. Just keep it simple and let the better players push the pace.

I'm not saying I'm not guilty of this though
the object of my disdain is normally Chiarot and Holl. Ultimately I get why people are upset the defense outside of the first pairing is lacking. I would like to see AL Jo worked in more as well. But I understand earning a coaches trust can take time.

We should all understand what we have in the usual talked about 4. It is frustrating. But over the next 1-3 years they will be moved on from incrementally.

On a side note, I enjoy your discussion. We have over the year's engaged in many topics. It is also a good conversation at least from my perspective. Wish you well friend.
Thanks. Likewise.

I think the posters should focus on how great and dominant Seider and Edvidsson were. The hawks outshot the wings, but I cant remember a single good scoring chance they had.
I like what I see from Seider, Raymond and Edvidsson. Both Raymond and Seider might emerge as the game change players by the end of the season.
My prediction is we will make the playoffs because Seider and Raymond will develop during this season so much that we will have 3 players who can carry the team in Larkin, Raymond and Seider.
And Edvidsson is not far behind

I also don't think the wings have gotten close enough to being a consistent playoff team to draw major attention of UFA's in the offseason. That's why for quite awhile the top players we aren't really in on (like Roy from last UFA class).

How does the team as a unit transform the game? I think we don't have the roster to dominate so we have to play effective and opportunistic hockey.
This game was vs a weak team so they could afford to take chances and try to establish possession in the offensive zone. Kane said it for some days ago and the posters on this board have criticised it for a few weeks.

Would you split Seider and Edvidsson to strengthen 2nd pairing?
I have suggested it could and should be done in some situations and games. Lalonde might be forced to do it un the next 2 games vs Leafs and Rangers.

The 2nd pairing could be strengthened purely by keeping Petry off of it.

Ed - Mo
Chia - Holl
AlJo - Petry
Done.

The worst trait in many aging players is thinking they aren't aging and can still do what they used to. Holl could never do anything effective in the offensive zone (barring that one neat assist). He plays within himself. Petry (and Chiarot for that matter) tries to play beyond their abilities. We needed to move a body, but we moved the wrong one...

Holl played 7 games this season and under 40 last one. Yzerman and Lalonde don't want to use him if not necessary. You want to play him top 4? Show me one poster who agrees with you.
