Well, this is the same game plan than against Washington. Can't wait for the self puke in the 3rd.

I want the coaching staff to be careful with Hutson.

They're all getting blown out defensively and it seems like the staff is really preaching getting picks deep and simple hockey.

To my eyes, Lane has lacked a bit of the confidence offensively he had early on.

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Is this logical? Xhekaj out against a team with 3 very tough players in Washington.

Xhekaj in against a soft as butter Pittsburgh team.

Makes sense
Makes sense in the sense that I'm thinking Marty does NOT want Xhekaj to be thinking about being the 'tough' guy and want him to think only about being a defenseman. Well, my guess in any case.

Following a 16 shot performance in a blow-out loss to the Capitals, then a bag skate, Habs come out with a 5 shot first period.
Great road period we held them to 5 as well unfortunately well you saw it.
Lets see if this second period is spent in our end like usual.

it's painful watching this team, but we're early in a rebuild. That's the bottom line.
There's too many shit vets on longterm contracts, the D is very, very young.
We don't have a no1 goalie and there's simply not enough talent in the top 6.
Those who watched Laval see some light...Tuch, Xhekaj, Beck, Roy, Mailloux...Dobes..fowler, hage, demidov...2, maybe 3 1st rounders this summer...
we will hit on some of these guys
🙏

Water is indeed wet.
🤣
Slaf isn't looking like he did the last 40 games of 23-24, something seems off with him.
80% of the team are worse than they were last season. I think the young guys have done a commendable job of working through the rebuild but it's starting to take it's toll on them. Losing is becoming acceptable.

Xhekaj needs to see some ice time as a forward on the fourth line. He doesn't look like someone who can keep things simple as a dman. His mind is racing too much. Make him dish energy game after game, maybe that tunes him in the right direction once and for all.
