Bobrov doesn't have a great track record. Andersson,
It hasn't been a good week for Nick Bobrov.

It all stemmed from the release of this war room video excerpt:

Bobrov may or may not have been hamming it up for the camera, but regardless, it looked rather over the top for someone to use a slew of banal, over-inflated analogies to lather up a player based on international tournaments and who was coming out of a weak draft.

All of which prompted @Grate n Colorful Oz to quip, "He really thinks he's Kevin Costner."

Yes, Kevin Costner from Draft Day lore ...

It won't take much for Bobrov's used car salesman ways to have him featured on any other series with a charlatan-like flavor.

Clearly, that thing he does with the glasses on the forehead, has not gone unnoticed. It may just be the trigger for those looking to release their inner Bobrov.

Of course, not everyone can pull it off.

What does it say, however, that Martin Lapointe, did?

Bobrov's roasting was exacerbated by Slaf's low offensive output dating back to last season and having continued this year. To be fair, Slaf is very much a project still, but he looks to be turning it around ...

Slaf scored his first of the season in the game against the Blues, where MSL finally placed him on the top line. He proved to be much more involved in plays, with 4 shots on net and working from the slot, which he had not done at all this season.

The Habs had posted a 5-2-2 record just prior to their 3-game road trip, which saw them open with a stellar game against Vegas, even if it ended in an overtime loss. It looked like the Habs were on some serious momentum, which even prompted MSL to note that in his estimation, this had been the best game he saw his team play.

Didn't take long for MSL's compliment to fall on deaf ears, as the Habs lost their next 2 games to the Yotes and Blues. All of which brought them back in town in the hopes of turning it around.

But not before going through the rigors of their yearly team photo day ...

Kent the Reptilian Shape Shifter, remains true to form.

There were the usual jokers and pranksters, with Jackeye putting this out there:

In other news, Mr. Congeniality was back vs. the Blues, which helped MSL juggle his lines.

RHP's status remains uncertain. He was scratched vs. the Blues on Saturday with a LBI. He was at yesterday's practice but was seen leaving it early.

Finally, in the good news department, the Pearson-Monahan-Gallagher line has posted 7 points in the last 2 games -- without taking anything away from Pearson or Gallagher, it looks to be part of the magic that seems to happen whenever Moneyhands is involved.

Still bothers me how Bergevin wasted Price's prime years but never building a good offense. His job was simple and yet he couldnt build an offense.

Don't forget some on these boards swear by these times like they were some sort of good old days. Absolutely mediocre roster compared to the rest of the league. No star power , as usual

The entire Pacio DD era was TRASH. Can't believe we had to succumb to watching that sub standard product for like 10 years. People swear by those teams not realising how sad they were , literally a bottom 5 NHL product to consume and Molson and L'antichambre had millions of people brainwashed across the entire province thanks to CP31 :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Thank you for yet another awesome GDT @Runner77! Am I the only one who thinks that Bobrov bears an uncanny resemblance to Viggo Mortensen?

Don't insult Aragorn like that.

That War Room video was out since last year. It's loopy that hockey media and Hab fans only realized the mind-bending insanity of this thing in the last week.

The glasses on the forehead is all part of the manipulative aesthetic to try and look smarter than he is. It's supposed to make him look thoughtful and pensive.

Awesome post @Runner77

His first round picks have not been home runs. However, still some racetrack to go on Laf and Kakko and definitely too early to know for certain on Slaf and Reinbacher.

Thank-you, good Sir.

You are correct, the video wasn’t a new release but a reposting. I’ve amended the OP accordingly. Thanks for the heads up!

Didn't work with Arizona. Didn't work with St. Louis, who were both on the second of a back-to-back when they faced Montreal.
The Bolts have made a habit of toying with us in recent years. We bust our butts to stay in the game and then they turn it on for about 5 minutes to grab the win. B2B won't matter to them. The only thing that might help us is if they show total disinterest in the game. Not something they are known to do against the Habs.
