I don’t think Coyle and Marchand will ever develop any true chemistry but Poitras doesn’t seem quite ready for a top 6 role .

I think the hope is Marchand & DeBrusk can regain their momentum from last season, with Coyle being Bergeron-lite. Coyle just doesn’t have the offensive skill set needed for a top 6 role. Unless he’s between two wingers who can carry a line.

Zacha on the other hand is just streaky. He’s an ideal 2C.

No need to rush Poitras into a spot he’s not quite ready for.
