Was this our way of finding out Chytil is back skating with the team? Or did I miss the announcement of that?
He skated in Mika's spot at practice the other day when Mika had a maintenance day. I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere yet if he's playing or not tonight, and we most likely won't find out until later

Well, we used to have one.

I feel like NHL players are zombies between shifts (Girardi used to stare off for minutes straight!), exhausted from the last shift as they quickly try to recover as much energy as possible before the next one. Panarin gives a glance and even he, who rarely misses a joke opportunity, just looks back down after, getting lost in his own thoughts about his last shift. Motte also looks but no reaction.

Though I did notice Mika cheating a look up to the jumbotron to see if he could see his near miss from up there lol

Bruins are always good at 5v5, but their PK has been otherworldly to start this year. I think this game is gonna come down to who wins on special teams, and the Bruins definitely have the edge on us there. No Krejci might help, but this is definitely gonna be another tough game

Great litmus test for this group.

Outside of Minnesota, I don't think there is a more fake tough team than these Bruins. Its really easy to dislike this team.
My working theory is that they never were tough and don't really try to be.

HF decided they were tough in 2011 because they had Lucic and one guy who was like 7'3" and now they're going to be "tough" for the next 69 years despite being a model franchise for small, skilled hockey pretty much over the course of Bergeron's career.

There are high school teams bigger than the 2011 Bruins.

I think it’s just cuz they’re the bruins, if they were say, the golden retrievers no one would consider their team tough

People still think the Rangers are fast and the Wild are a boring trap team.

The Rangers are slower than doom metal and the Wild put up lacrosse scores routinely.

People still say about the 2011 Giants that you can't give Eli Manning credit because they won with defense. The 2011 Giants literally had the worst defense in the NFL. Show me a list of quarterbacks who won the Superbowl with the worst defense in the NFL.

These things just stick for some reason.

No they were definitely tough.

Lucic was/is tough, McQuaid was tough, Boychuck was tough, Chara was huge and nearly killed a guy. Even a guy like Recchi was pretty tough despite being short (and a great player at his peak.) They legit bullied Vancouver when they played in the finals.

Thats obviously changed over time and they definitely fit the mold of a smaller, skilled team now, but they still have guys who like to act tough but really aren't (mostly McAvoy and Pasternak and Krug while he was there. Marchand too, but thats really his MO as hes always been a troll.)
