You deleted 75% of my post and used top 5 teams when 16 teams make the playoffs.

wtf are you talking about.

And my original post talked about both PK TOI and goals against.

I used the top 5 teams in SH TOI in the regular season to show that the most undisciplined teams still can and do make the playoffs. You should ask yourself WTF are you are talking about, because I think you're completely lost.

" The odds to make the playoffs when you are among the league leaders in penalty kill minutes are slim. "

^^^ That's what I was responding to, to bring your goalposts back to what I was focusing on, since you need help here. Again, not ideal to be undisciplined team, especially when your PK sucks. But being undisciplined itself isn't a death sentence in of itself.

The PK isnt going to break their playoff chances? They have allowed the most PK goals in the league this year.

Last year among the top 8 teams to allow the most PK goals only 1 team made the playoffs. The PK can absolutely break their playoff chances.

See what happens when you delete 75% of someones post and cherry pick stats? You can form just about any narrative you want.

dude, you really are a piece of work, lol. you can't see the difference between what I was responding to and keeping it to that, vs you completely changing a sentence to make it sound the way you want. Just take the L here, guy.

dude you took this whole quote

I’m not sure looking at one season for correlation is going to get you any answers either.

Usually the more penalty kill time the more goals allowed. Of the top 5 teams in penalty kill goals against none made the playoffs.

Right now the bruins are tied for most in the league.

But there would obviously be exceptions like teams that have really good power plays and also draw a lot of penalties even if they commit a lot too.

and deleted everything except the bold. Very important context at the bottom which you completely deleted.

"But there would obviously be exceptions like teams that have really good power plays and also draw a lot of penalties even if they commit a lot too."

Especially since it doesnt apply to the bruins who have allowed almost twice as many PK goals againstas PP goals for.

You deleted my entire context to the post and ran with 1 sentence.

Because i was attempting to make a conversation with you to show that your original assumption of the most undisplined teams having slim chances to make the playoffs wasn't correct when looking at the past few years. I ignored the majority of your second post because I wasn't disagreeing with you on that point - having a poor PK team isn't what you want to see from a team that commits a high rate of penalties. FFS guy.

Next time don’t delete all the context of someone’s posts to form your own narrative and cherry pick stats.

It’s that simple. I didn’t type it so you could delete it/ignore the context to my position.

Again, I didn't cherry pick the stats. Again, the rest of your post was irrelevant to the original point I was responding to and not what I was disagreeing with.

Sabres , Senators, Canadians , Wings are far from power houses. They will lose their share of games . If getting a wildcard spot is the goal , the season is far from over .

If getting a wildcard spot is the goal, the season IS over.

And for the record I wanted Monty fired 2 years ago after the Florida series and 130+ points. Every game and second this dude is still the coach hinders your ability to make the playoffs and succeed.

What does breezing through the regular season accomplish? Absolutely nothing . Bruins are masters at it .

I'm not a Monty hater, but I'll say this much: During both the Julien and Cassidy years, when the team came out flat, they would get coached up between periods and almost always came out playing better. I have not noticed this at all during Montgomery's tenure.

He tends to pick up the hitting when they're down by multiple goals. Frederic has more hits than Zadorov this season. The difference is Zadorov's hits standout more because it usually sends him to the penalty box.

Frederic had 4+ hits last game despite not having any. Odd statistics depends on the home arena perhaps.

I don't think he is. On paper this team looks good. Added a top-six center and a big strong D-man. Signed Swayman. Made the team bigger and harder to play against. The players aren't doing their part.

Has Geekie as the 2nd line RW.

No, can't blame Sway. But......he's a damn good goalie as long as the Bs are playing that locked down game in front of him.
Looks like when they aren't.....he's nothing special.
Let's wait and see.
He’s behind the curve this season having missed camp and preseason. Having college guys shoot on you over the summer is not the same.

Watch the Sabers versus the Islanders tonight. Fun game to watch. Lots of speed, 3 on twos, two-on-ones, solid gold tending.
In other words....not boring and predictable

4-3 Islanders
Both teams about 35 shots
For entertainment value it was worth the watch

The Oilers were something like 5-12-1 around US Thanksgiving last season, and almost won the Cup

Granted they have tons of offensive talent compared to the Bruins

..but it's not how you start...it's how you finish

Win today and get a streak going . All negativity forgotten. Winning best medicine.
