Friendly Florida fan here. I really like the construction of the team.

My sense watching these games is that Florida was treating it like a SCF final game due it being in Barkov City. I wouldn't read too much into Dallas (although I am curious why there wasn't the same intensity for absolute beasts like Miro and Hintz by the rest of the team)

It’s too bad Hintz or Miro, along with 8 other players, aren’t playing anywhere near worth their contracts at the moment.

I know this is crazy talk but Hintz needs to be a winger at some point down the line. He's declined as a #1C from his prime already and playing C neuters his transition speed plays. His game is more suited for flying the zone especially in Deboer's cherryplanning scheme. He's always profiled more as a winger with his skillset.

Shame he's a Left Shot cuz we're glut at LW so it won't happen. Maybe if Benn doesn't get re-signed.

No coach is going into the 2025 playoffs with Johntston/Duchene/Borque as their C depth, but maybe itll be an option for future years/future coaches.

This season will probably go just like last season - fans will get all lathered up about the state of the team while the veteran players know that regular season games before the deadline don't mean shit as long as you don't lose too many. We aren't going to see the full team giving their all to win a game until round one, so no reason to get worked up about it beforehand.

I'm just here to watch Stankoven try to win the Calder (he probably won't because Dallas).

99% of the games don't mean shit but I would argue back to back against the defending champs does matter, especially if you style yourself as their usurper.
