Geez, a little harshness here on Bob for those 2 goals...the 2nd one, yeah, it looks bad but it's flukey.
Most goalies go out to stop the puck behind the net for their D, but the Ducks player got there first, and well.....
But the first goal? It was a tipped shot. Not much of a chance on those.

He's still playing great, with lots of confidence - playing like a #1 goalie.

Bob did his job on the routine stuff, but the 2 weakest goals of the night were scored on him, not Gibson.

Bob has been great this season, he had a "so-so" night and we survived, that's part of the journey.

First goal not weak, IMO. Redirected and Bob was still for the most part in the right place.

Hey guys, Habs fan coming in peace!

Picked up Werenski in my fantasy league this year and from what I've seen this kid is a stud, probably one of the best young d-man I've seen in a while. I was thinking about picking up Wennberg, what can you guys tell me about him. Is he having a breakout year ? I know he plays on top line and everything.

He is a budding star, not budding for long if he keeps up his current play. You'll want to keep him rostered for as long as you can.

So, we have plans in place to make sure Brad Shaw never, ever leaves, right? :)

I sure hope so..

As for the game --- being in attendance felt like the game against the Stars when the Indians were playing Game 6 the same night .. crowd was dead for the most part and attendance was lowwwww. Combine this with the fact that after the first few minutes in the first I had a bad feeling about the end result. Thankfully, we found a way. Going to have to bring a lot more tonight against the Bs..

Kind of breaking out. Still needs to shoot more, but if he keeps piling up the assists he has a good chance to become Joe Thornton-esque. He will be lighter in PIM and goals, though.

If you didn't get to see it yet, here is Torts post game presser. He talks quite a bit about benching players, and why.

I liked what I heard!

I honestly don't know how people can dislike him as a coach. Listen to the way he talked about Saad, Werenski, and JMFJ. He tells it 100% like it is and is doing what he thinks is best for the team and the future because of the youth of it has. He is not thinking about his own ego or inflating his team's ego, he is thinking about making the team great. I loved what he said about Saad and wanting to make sure he doesn't get caught in a mindset and that he thinks he's a great player and he likes him but he won't let guys get in a certain mindset that is harmful and let it continue. Then being honest about Werenskis troubles when he could just go on and on about his successes but he is honest in his criticism while acknowledging his successes.

Love the direction of our team at this point. Whether we make the playoffs or just miss it is a lot better then 4th worst or the previous year where we picked 8th but that is kind of inflated by a rediculous 15 game win streak at the end. Was it 15? I don't remember it got us Werenski so that season was worth to me haha. Anyways great game, great team, great coach, great fans.

I like what Torts (and especially Shaw and Larsen) have been doing, but you might not be understanding some of his critics.

Holding players accountable is not something that people criticize in Torts, obviously every coach should do that. But Torts does that partly by venting to the media. Imagine your boss having a sit down with you when you are in a funk. Now imagine alternatively that he/she puts out a press release when you are in a funk that everyone including your fallback employer reads about. It's two different ways of holding you accountable.

I'm not even entirely opposed to the way Torts has been doing it - I just want to be clear that public criticism is just one way of maintaining accountability, and obviously makes it appear to fans that he's doing more of it, but it's just one way.

If he was being outright vicious and degrading to his own players I would agree. But he doesn't normally name names and when he does its very minimal but I do agree that public criticism can be a hindrance depending on the players tempermant and how scathing the remarks are. Him saying guys are angry with minutes without naming names is a good way to publicly get it out without making it personal so the player gets the idea but isn't in the news causing drama and the stuff with Saad by complimenting him but pointing out his minor flaw to progress the naritive of fixing a team issue by making it seem like it's multiple people not just Saad but that day it was Saad that was the offender.

Sorry if my posts have been rambling lately guys I've been having issues with my memory again so I've been kinda just typing as it comes so I don't forget my points hopefully it's not to much of a mess haha.

If anyone was wondering how Anaheim mounted the comeback the Leading One has the answer.

CBJ-ANA last night @NHLfi: ANA relishingly played in an away game lag zone delayed starts and in other means also made the game through center. #puck control

Everyone who cares to know, knows who Torts is complaining about. It does cause public drama, that's a thing that irks some folks.

Don't worry about your memory. You get your points out there. It's your editing ability (or willingness to edit) that I'd focus on. If I didn't edit, my posts would look uglier than yours.

Hey Major.....I don't disagree with anything you said about Coach Tortorella. But just remember that we don't hear/see/know what is said one-on-one. If a worker only heard about his performance via the media, that would be bothersome. But from all indications, that is not the case.

I'm giving the Coach benefit of doubt.
