Greig Pinto Gaudette
Cousins Gregor Amadio
MacEwen

Greig on the top line is looking great though.

He skates well, passes well, retains possession, creates havoc and plays defense.

Feel like 34 year old Perron would slow that line down in contrast to Greig.

Have to agree. Perron with BT and TS makes for Timmy having to play in 3rd gear. Greig can at least keep up.

This whole 'two years without goal' thing the media has been running with about Gaudette is really weird. They're making it sound like he was on some Bill Muckalt-like run of futility. He only played 2 NHL games over that period!

I'd rather hear this then the media slobbering over Matthew f***ing Knies like he's some messiah

Grieg can't keep up with the play and usually neutralizes offensive zone pressure. He doesn't yet have the offensive instinct to think ahead.

He does create a lot of space for Brady and Timmy though, and it's working pretty darn well. So even if he doesn't produce himself, does it really matter?

I mean he has the hockey sense to be a top 6 player, in some ways he is smarter than Tim and Brady.

What he is missing though is experience and confidence. So it's good for him to get high reps of chances with Stu and Brady, when he buries a few he will be even more dangerous from the 3rd line.

And he clearly isn't slowing that line down, he is getting them chances and space and he is the defensive conscious. Line is working.

Yes it does. Get someone up there to produce. The other 2 will eventually hit a rut.

Eh, I say keep him up there and if he does start to drag them down then you switch him out. I wouldn't mess with that line while it's tearing other teams up.

You seem high on him; why?

Not until this preseason and camp did I think he could be a piece for us. I see a potential 3rd pairing LD with a nice shot and some nastiness to him. He looked smart and efficient during the preseason and it seems he’s having a good decent in the AHL. Long way from his ECHL days.

Gaudette on the top line is an interesting proposition. It's hard to buy into him actually sticking there but when you think about it he could be a nice fit.

Defensively he is excellent, he is great in the cycle and down low and of course is a solid trigger guy and goes to the dirty areas. Question is whether or not he has the hockey iq and pace to stick with Brady and Stu. It's one thing to look good dragging Cousins and MacEwen around the O zone, its a whole different story keeping up with an elite duo like Brady and Stu and going against top defenders.

For the detractors yes, no sense breaking up that fourth line but Ridley is not cutting it so far and so eventually what is left to try? Drake Norris Giroux should not be broken up, Amadio and Gregor don't work on the top line and Perron is a non starter. Not saying to rush Grieg off that line but we need to be prepared to try something else in 3 or 4 games if he can't produce in that spot. Gaudette is worth trying and that could free Greig up to play with Ostapchuk which could be a nice fit.

Yes. It is no small thing to have the other team worried about the offensive threat from a 4th line. And while he is on a hot streak you don't mess with it. When, and he will, cool down then you can look at tinkering.

Possible but this Sens team is locked in and has got the eye of the Tiger - don’t see that happening

But your point that they are the better team and avoid take the 2 points is the real test. good team beat bad teams, Can they live up to their expectations??

Of the 11-15 games I've seen live, this was the first time I've seen them win. Was an absolute blast and can't wait to come back!
