They were pretty damn overrated. They had a good bubble but they'd get less hype for it if they were swept by Vegas as they deserved to be. Hfboards was eager to anoint them the best team in Canada smh.

I used to envy Ottawa back in the day with Hossa, Havlat and Spezza around
Hard to believe Spezza still hanging around and those guys were gone long time ago

If Marner were with him he would be getting those opportunities every game.
Other than that, Tavares is slow, can’t create space for himself and cant create much offensively.

I really like him with a couple yeomen on his wings. Speedy Petan covering the middle of the ice in transition. Boyd winning battles. That’s a good set up for Mr . Spezza.
