We should absolutely have more goals for and less against. Bad turnovers and an off night from Blackwood has us trailing. Holy f***, it's frustrating. I hate losing while being the better team. Especially when we're not even really getting goalied.

The result doesn't matter to me tonight. What matters is the process.

Good. Lord. This team looks a thousand times different and EERILY similar to 2022. We'll see if it's just the post-TDL excitement or if this team is seriously ready to start throttling the league. This isn't a run of the mill club, this is the 2nd in the Atlantic Leafs.

Numbers after 40 at 5v5:

Shot Attempts 41-17 Avalanche
Shots on Goal 23-9 Avalanche
Scoring Chances 19-9 Avalanche
High Danger Chances 8-2 Avalanche

Avs dominating, only a matter of time before they tie it.

The Blackwood hate is ridiculous, 2 rough games since he's been here and people are treating him like he's Fourgiev
Its cause this game he is actively impersonating him :m-dance:

But seriously, not his game for once today. And its unfortunate, cause Stolarz on the other side is playing out of his mind, we are dominating them, 2x as many shots, and still trailing.

Lets hope we find some scoring luck in the third.

Just tuning into the game and reading some of this thread. Really glad Nelson is having an immediate impact but it seems like he might be playing more physical than usual according to the comments. If he's crushing guys just don't expect that to continue, he's not afraid of contact but he doesn't seek it out either.

He's not a great power play guy because his release is pretty slow, but man is his shot lethal if he has any amount of time to take aim. On the rush he'll beat goalie clean. He'll always shoot in a shootout as well, I don't think I've ever seen him make a move.

As an Isles fan I'll be rooting for Colorado the rest of the season for sure.

All of you all are welcome. We'll take good care of him, just like Ray Bourque.
