What were the line combinations last night? Only saw little bits of the game and the lines seemed very jumbled.

Top 6 were mostly
Guenther - Cooley - Keller
Maccelli - Hayton - Schmaltz

Like you said, bottom six seemed jumbled but I saw Crouse - Bjustad - Kerfoot together a lot, I thought they did well (actually I thought all the lines did well, probably that's why the team won). Actually just looked at the game log, we dressed 7 defensemen so probably that's part of the jumbled-ness.

All that said we have some forward depth, that's a good 3rd line. And But hasn't even come over yet

He was all over the ice. Good on the toi though, was afraid they might wear him out.
I didn’t pay attention to it that closely but if they were short shifting all the lines the entire game to keep the pace up that could explain why we saw him on the ice so much.

Just going with a hunch here because I noticed what you were observing with Schmaltz and Maccelli too.

...when the forwards group are more talented than the blueliners, it makes sense to give the top forwards additional minutes vs the average TOI that the D gets (keeps them fresher instead of collapsing in the 3rd, OT). 11-7 seems to work better now that we acquired Maata.
