Downers is a great little town.

biggest problems of the year so far:
1. zone entries. they can't stop them or get them. seriously, count how many times the hawks have to play the dump and chase compared to the opp. it's embarrasing. even worse, they only rarely win the puck back, so it keeps setting up situations where the forwards are in on the forecheck, don't win the puck, and give up an odd man rush (or, more typically, a partial break when a replacement level opp forward beats the slow d-man).
2. clearing the zone. a corollary of 1. forward movement is not this team's forte. when they aren't getting stuffed by forechekers they're just giving the puck away because of...
3. missing passes, muffing the puck, and general unawareness. this has been constant. the poise on the puck simply isn't there for everyone not named alex debrincat.
4. there is currently more than $32 million worth of cap tied up in four players worth about 1.4 points per game. take away kane from that equation, and you get $21.5 million invested in about a half point per game.

Except forcLehner a Hawks No Show/MIA/Surrender...Slow...Incompetent checking/losing all the racesxznd puck battles...looks like Nashville we blood -doped...jacked on energy and want...Hawks looked like they would rather be doing something else for a living...

The only "Orofesdional" that showed up for Chicago was Lehner..

The rest of them played like Sh☆t..

Schooled...Domonated...shown up..

Hawks lucky score just 1-0 Preds.

JC should be ripping them...but seems they might care less.

The usual 10/60 ..probably get 1 "push" of good hockey for just half a period in 2bd or3rd and that is it for the game.

The Country Club is back!

The period started fine and then the ice tilted. The Hawks need to defend their points (need to be tighter) better as the Preds generate a lot from their back end.

This PP needs to change their entry. Unfortunately they like many others still do the long drop because they think it creates space/separation when in reality it just clogs the PP entry and slows forward momentum. This part is on JC.

#1 is due to our D hesitating during transitions. Gus is the worst offender of this. You have to just go. The Hawks over handle the puck and/or stop skating/lose momentum far too often. This makes it easy for opposing teams to clump up the neutral zone.
