Now maybe Seabrook can still help..but not as a dman..as a forward...He still has good offensive INSTINCT ..I think he can still fire a puck. And his passing is a good..Yes he lacks speed ...But at least a forward does not have to do backwards skating ...forwards skating once he has built up his forward motion Seabs has enough speed to be maybe acceptable but again in limited minutes sch that he not need tire late in games..

However ...you cannot use him at forward on the pk just as youu never should use him as a D on the pk either..but in maybe he could be a forward in 5x5 in restricted minutes...yes a lesser role but it us what it is..

As a winger he has far less decision-making in reactions to positioning and as to first step to get going in chasing loose pucks..as A winger he need play mostly north-south in just half a side of the ice . On D..vthere are confusing switch -offs sobtat you often end up on your other side often too.

As a winger it is different when you attack vs. on D where you defend ...he simply cannot defend well anymore but he may still be reasonably effective in attack.

I would give him the opportunity..but it mist be made clear to him that he no longer can be trusted by the Hawks to be a helpful and effective dman.

I would give him a chance though to find out if he can be useful as a forward. IT may be his last chance to prove he can still play a positive impact role in the NHL.

Maybe he could be like Phil Esposito who was so slow and couldn't skate but he could get in front of the net and block the goalie and get tips and rebounds. Maybe we can do that with Seabs?

oh lord I hope Edzo is calling tonight's game with Foley...can only imagine the excuses and violins that get played for Seabs and what they say towards JC...

My guess? They will behave. Between the NBCSports coverage and the Chicago Tribune coverage of this...the organization is probably not happy with how Seabrook has reacted. They have clearly sided with Colliton here. As they should.

considering about 12-14k of my posts were prior to being able to like a post.you fools are ALL a distant 2nd place and beyond lol....bunch of ****ing losers!!!!

Chihacks and I each lost about 27k likes when they removed the poli board, and don’t forget that.

Edit: Chihacks is a typo, but I’m going to call him that from now on if we bicker.

Yeah, we got destroyed by that nuke.
Yeah, I had a good half dozen likes or so. So pretty much we're all the same.

So you're complaining about likes you lost on a hockey discussion board....for posts that weren't about hockey? Here, have a tissue. :thumbu:

Poli was the best sub-forum in the site. Here is the ranking in order:
1. Politics
2. Team boards
3. Science

As for the rest, I’d hold its head under water if I could.

If Hawks don't score on the power play tonight, next power play, you put out the Carpenter or Kampf line, and send a message to the slack asses on the first PP unit that they need to wake up, or it isn't just even strength TOI they will be losing.

Assuming the entry problem we have seen recently was an anomaly the PP woes solution is not rocket science: plant one or 2 players in front of the ops goalie and get the puck to the net, and that includes Kaner. Keep the perimeter passing and looking for the perfect play to a minimum ... especially when they try it with no movement.
