Sharp shipped to Dallas, Hossa and Keith both out, still don't know what to expect. :help:

Seriously, expecting this to be the usual game against the Hawks. Either we get smoked out of the building in the first 10 or we hang in there, come back from multigoal decifit and score GWG in the last 2 minutes.

Going to miss at least the first half of the game, so please, leave some scoring for me to see also. If we don't get shut out, that is.

:sarcasm:

First post? Welcome.

Bickel sent down.. Dano just recalled

Hossa is out. The lines at the morning skate were:

Panarin-Toews-Garbutt
Teravainen-Anisimov-Kane
Dano-Kero-Hartman
Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw

Dano-Kero-Hartman were the top line for the Hawks AHL team last week - so that should be interesting ...

It's the first game Q has split up the Panarin-Anisimov-Kane line, which has been the only line that has been consistently dangerous.

Hossa and Keith can't return soon enough!!!!

Thanks. Updated.

Doesn't get much harder than the Hawks and Blues on back to back nights on the road. Hoping they get at least two points out of it.

Both have some key injuries making it a lot easier than it would be prior years, but still very difficult. I would be thrilled with 2 points

First post? Welcome.

Thank you sir! Been just a bystander up to this point altough I've had my account activated since June. Looking forward to making some contributions in the message department in the future too. ;)

Crawford (not surprisingly) confirmed to start for CHI btw. How has he looked in the net so far? The numbers looking solid as usual.

Somewhat ironic if Dano does make his Blackhawk debut against the Kings.

He was the 27th pick in the 2013 draft if you guys recall… the pick the Kings owned at one point but traded for one Jeff Carter… CBJ had the option to use the 30th pick in the 2012 draft or the following year's pick...

So he should hate us! We gave up on him! :sarcasm:

Shaw on the 4th line? Hmm. I'm fine with that, hope it means we see less of him, guy is chippy, mouthy and hits like a ton of bricks. Backes-lite. Surprised he's slunk that far down though.

Quick will get the guys fired up for this one. Looch is probably pretty eager to make an impression here too, first game in the rivalry for him.

I really like the Kings chances to make a statement game here, all the pieces in place except for that weird inevitability that comes with long winning streaks like this. I'll say 4-0 Kings before everything comes crashing down tomorrow against St. Louis. (and who cares?)

Without Keith and Hossa, I like our chances.

Kings lose. 3-1.

What happened to Hossa? Must've missed that.

If they put in their back-up we're screwed  :(

Left mid-way through the last game. Q said lower body and day to day in the post game interview. So, the usual cryptic Hawks injury report. Q said he's hopeful he will be back for the game against the Blues on Wednesday.

Q uses the 4th line more as the traditional checking line - often against the oppositions top line. The Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw line was together throughout the playoffs last season and were very good at checking the oppo's top guys. So - it's not a demotion at all - it's a testament to how much Q likes Shaw in that role.

Ah, that makes more sense. thanks for the clarification. I didn't notice who his linemates were, should have inferred that from seeing the other two.

So will I not be able to watch this game with gamecenter? I don't have NHL network.

Gonna need all hands on deck for this one.

Looking for a big game from Drew Doughty. Bigger than the last one, if that's possible.

Looks like forbort in for mcbain. They just had a child and won't be available.

I know Carter is hot but damn... ;D
@Rich_Hammond
Among Kings progeny, there is now Carter Anthony Quick and Carter Anthony McBain.

my wife went into labor this morning. I'm hoping the kid is here in time for me to catch the game. true story.

Congrats!

When we have a boy it's going to be Carter, told my wife we had to name our first son after whoever scored the GW goal for the Kings first cup win.

BTW, speaking of kids, I was originally going to take my daughter to her first game tonight, but thought better of it. My wife has a business dinner tonight and I didn't want to risk taking a two year old to the game by myself. Sucks knowing the Kings are 10 miles away and I won't be there, but it will be TV tonight for me.
