The NHL went to the current division format in 2013-2014

This is the FIRST time the Bruins have been in last place :help:

We've had trouble with them for years because they are much faster. This year we are even slower so I do not see this going well.

If we get blown out will it be Monty's last game?

Right. This will be tough. The Canes are playing some very good hockey, with pace and purpose. On a 4-game winning streak and at home. The Bruins can't get into a shootout with these guys, even if they could somehow find some decent offense, nor will the slow, soft tempo we've seen too much of lately suffice. It's going to take more of the Florida-style they were supposed going to be moving towards this year - tough, gritty hockey, strong forecheck, solid D, dump and chase, pounding the O zone boards. It may not be pretty, and it's hard work, and they'll need to battle for every puck, but that's what it takes.

Monty's mixed things up in practice, had some harsh words, who knows what the lines will actually end up looking like, but they're trying to find something. I'm not optimistic, but they surely have to show at least some sort of response after the diabolical effort on Tuesday. If Carolina proves the better team because, well, right now they are, then so be it. But make them earn it, if nothing else.

They picked the right day to schedule this one; it could be scary.

When the B's were good, they struggled with Carolina. And the Canes are in sync early on.

Zone exits against their swarm will be an adventure.

..only 6 points out of first place with a game in hand

After last game, I'll be watching this game with one eye closed, and the remote close-by ready to change the channel

I'm expecting the worst ...but hoping for the best

The Bruins will forfeit this game due to lack of interest. The Bear will be in hibernation for the foreseeable future.

I remember vividly a Halloween horror show 24 years ago going as a fan.

The game was at Uniondale and the B's lost 4-2 but the box score shows how ugly it was - Raycroft could not have stopped a beachball that night.

The announced crowd was 6,418 but there were only 3,000 fans there. Sinden had just fired Pat Burns for Mike Keenan and the team was a mess.

My car was egged during the game
