They can trade guys like Geekie and Frederic, but they need to make a couple big deals trade core guys like Coyle, Zacha and Marchand. I would even move McAvoy or Pasta for the right player. If we could get a legit first line center for Pasta I may move him (Aho, Barkov, MacKinnon), then make another deal for top RW. Never usually happens that way. Usually coach first, and either GM or players next. The team has most players back from the last two years, they can not be this bad. The only thing could be the players arent responding to him anymore. Start there. Sucks to do, but again its the easiest to start with.

I agree, would like Gallant, but based on how Sweeney and Neely do things, they would probably promote someone first, see how it goes while searching for a new head coach.

So you trade a top RW for a center and then what for a RW?


Not to mention Pasta is one of the best goal scorers in the league right now, the very thing we're lacking. Wild take.

Trade Pasta while you can still get something valuable for him. Retire Marchy and make him an ass't coach. Return most of the remaining players to the AHL.

We have stiff competition to tank though, in San Jose. Though they've played a little better lately
