I am just saying that it's possible for a player who has played great for stretches and even important stretches to simultaneously have stretches of poor play. I'm more reacting to the idea that whatever the current play of some player is, that's automatically who that guy is as a player. Elliott was good in a way last year during the regular season and against the Sharks that none of us have ever seen in our entire lives in the NHL. He has been poor to start this season. Both things can simultaneousluy be true.
