I think any actions BA takes (or doesn't take) to save this season will be based on what Smith wants from him. They're communicating.

I think if anyone's job is in danger it's Coach T... For now. But BA's job could be in danger too if they didn't take a step in the right direction this season.

How many attending new fans in UTAH walked out of the arena last night wondering why the heck they bought full or partial season tickets, and how many 1 game ticket buyers thought "not doing that again" ? We as fans are motivated by wins & and good hockey. While Smith might like those, I am sure his primary motivation is $$. Let that sink in.

AT wants to make sure his fav LOB has a spot on the roster. That's what happens when you put a rookie in a position to fail. Going down won't hurt Doan though.

Not really my team anymore, so I don’t really care what happens, but I’ve invested too much time watching these guys and nothing has changed over the course of four years.

Sergachev isn’t anything special and I think that was Smiths splash? Would have rather held onto geekie and moser. This team continues to be the same version of itself every year. Nothing changes.

Anyone that took over for BA couldn't possibly be handed a better deck of cards to make themselves look good once it all comes together. Wouldn't take much except a little more patience since BA has done all the "dirty" work already.

I'd hate to see BA let go before we even get to see Simashev, Iginla & But make the team next season since they're a huge part of his plan. Once all the top picks have a season of NHL experience they could (hopefully) make big trades and really go for it.

A new GM would be gifted a silver spoon.

Edit: IMO the rebuild isn't over until after next season (yes, after ) but they need to be way more competitive than they've been, now.

They've had 23 on the roster. Now it's 22.

LOB is on a one way contract, and isn't waiver exempt.

Doan is still and ELC and waiver exempt.
